Surfaces contacting the seal material should be smooth with a 32 microinches RMS finish or better, and contain no scratches  Generally this can be achieved by using emery paper with a P180 or finer rating.

We can make other sizes and configurations not listed, we have recently gained Lloyds Certification and ABS to cover from ¾” to 6”. There may be extra time required to manufacture them. Please email us for further information as our range is continually expanding.

Yes we can however for the Marine Environment we have found 316 and CF8M to be the most suitable materials.

The temperature that the fitting can handle is limited by the O-ring sealing arrangement, you should undertake your own research to see what sealing material is suitable, we can then arrange for these seals to be supplied in your fitting.

Yes – anybody can install the CRISM fitting. You do not require a CRISM representative on site provided you follow the installation instructions correctly.

The CRISM fitting is designed for a one off use. If you choose to remove the fitting and reuse it, this is done at your own risk and there would be a high risk of damage and failure of the fitting.  If this has to be done ensure that new seals are inserted and contact us for new grips.

Yes, provided the fitting is sterilised and cleaned by the purchaser to suite your own specific needs and it can be made in 304 SS.

The life of a CRISM fitting is dependent on the type of seal that is chosen, generally the CRISM will last in excess of 5 years and possibly much longer depending on the service conditions.
